Wood called out the show for the “mean and unfunny” portrayal of her and her character after the April 12 episode aired

Sherman played Wood’s Chelsea in “The White Potus” skit, which aired on the April 12 episode ofand prompted widespread backlash asas she reflected on how it hurt her in a series of Instagram Stories posts.

Two days later, Wood, 31, shared another post on her Instagram Stories, revealing that Sherman had sent her a bouquet amid backlash to the skit.

“Thank you for the beautiful flowers,” Wood wrote over the photo, tagging theSNLcomedian, 32, who she previously said had reached out and apologized to her.

While Sherman has apologized to the actress,reported that the late-night sketch comedy show has not issued a formal apology to Wood, despite her Instagram post that she’d “had apologies fromSNL.”

In her initial post reacting to the skit — which satirized all of the otherand sawas,asand hostas. — Wood said it was a “shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago.”

“Yes, take the piss for sure — that’s what the show is about — but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?” she wrote.

Fans also noticed that Wood’sWhite Lotuscostar and onscreen love interest. “Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg,” Goggins wrote in the comments section ofSNL’s Instagram.

That comment came amid, as fans noticed that they are no longer following each other on social media.
